Description
Early view of major Long Beach thoroughfare, most likely before 1900. Roads are not paved, and sidewalks are wooden planks. Pedestrians in summer clothes along with American flags on light-poles suggest July 4th holiday. Businesses shown at intersection include Pyne Music Company, Shaw Real Estate, and Iowa Villa Hotel. Also a board advertising "famous" Taffy.
