Description: Early view of major Long Beach thoroughfare, most likely before 1900. Roads are not paved, and sidewalks are wooden planks. Pedestrians in summer clothes along with American flags on light-poles suggest July 4th holiday. Businesses shown at intersection include Pyne Music Company, Shaw Real Estate, and Iowa Villa Hotel. Also a board advertising "famous" Taffy.
