Photograph of a drawing. "Subject: Max Straus Gym. Attached, is a photograph of the architect's conception of the new Max Straus Recreational Building of the Jewish Community Center. We would greatly appreciate your using this photo to help us publicize this important gift of $32,500 made by the late Max Straus as part of a large philanthropic donation to Los Angeles Charities. The boys and girls of Eastside Los Angeles have needed for a very long time, the facilities of a gymnasium and auditorium. Therefore, it is important that these gifts be publicized to show the Community of Los Angeles what is being done to fulfill its many needs.
