Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Gaze. Date: 1954-12-25. Reporter: Gaze. Assignment: Clutter family X'mas. 11-29-30-47: It was a merry Christmas after all for Mr. and Mrs. Norman Clutter and Bobby Batuge (her son), who lost their entire possessions including a Christmas tree and gifts when their rented home burned up last Sunday. Their happiness is evident with a complete holiday provided by Santa Monica clubs and individuals -- gifts of food and clothing, a decorated tree and lots of toys."
