Photograph article dated September 19, 1950 partially reads, "'Valley residents are grateful for this opportunity to step forward and proclaim their great American spirit,' Martin Pollard said in setting the keynote for the Crusade for Freedom in the Valley. Pollard, Valley chairman of the nationwide demonstration against Communism, spoke at North Hollywood and Burbank where a replica of the Freedom Bell was exhibited briefly yesterday." Photograph caption reads, "List for Americans only - Jack Oberle and Mayor Floyd Jolley hold Freedom scroll on which will be inscribed names of Crusade for Freedom subscribers as Martin Pollard looks on.
