Description
'Harvesting barley with the newer modern combine. It cost $12,000 in the early 1960s. We used this combine to harvest both barley and garbanzo beans. Before that an old stationary wood thrasher was used for the garbanzo beans. Pictured: Satoshi Ishibashi (contributer). Location: Portuguese Bend and end of Crenshaw [Boulevard], now part of the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve (Portuguese Bend Reserve).'
