Photograph of a group of men in front of the unfinished First Hotel in Corona, ca.1888. Eight men stand and sit in the extreme foreground of the image, looking off to the right. Behind them, a three-story hotel stands on a cleared plot of land, lumber leaning against its unfinished balcony at left. In the distance, mountains trace the horizon line. Picture file card reads "Hotel built by A.S. Garretson, cost about $15,000. R.B. Taylor was leader in the founding of the colony which stands apart at left. Hotel was operated for many years by O.A. Smith".
