Photograph caption dated March 9, 1957 reads, "North Hollywood High's phenomenal Rudd Schoeffel gets off a record leap of 21 ft. 10 1/2 in. in the broad jump to highlight yesterday's record-smashing spree by the Valley League athletes in the sixth annual Canoga Park High School Relays. The event was acclaimed the best ever as 10 records were smashed."
