Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Verbeck Mansion, home of Hiram Higgins, on Wilshire Boulevard, 1900. The two-story craftsman home is at center. The loser park of the building is clad in stone, while the upper levels are made of wood. An assortment of different sized and shaped windows can be seen on the walls of the building. The roof is covered by wooden shingles. Several large bushes and small trees can be seen on the lawn in front of the house. An unpaved road can be seen in the foreground. The house was later moved to Lucerne Boulevard, just north of Wilshire.
