Description
Annotation translation: "HB [Heidenbote] 1941/3. ... listening to the preaching. It was a custom in the lower Bakobngwan villages, if there was a corpse, to take it to the next village, where it would be eaten. The other villages [sic] did likewise. This cannibalism is not to be understood as a product of the peoples' bloodthirstiness, but their religiosity - a product of their belief in the power that a human being receives when he [the male form in the German] consumes the flesh of another."
Annotation: "HB [Heidenbote] 1941/3.
