Description
Shown in circa 2000 is a horse and carriage along K Street, between Front and Second, within the Old Sacramento State Historic Park. As of 1991, there were four companies ferrying tourists throughout the 150-year-old neighborhood. Also in 1991, city ordinances were established to ensure that horses not work more than eight hours a day, nor work in temperatures higher than 100 degrees.
