Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of American oil tanks and docks at Brest Harbor during World War I, ca.1914. Three large cylindrical tanks are at right, hidden behind large earthen walls. In the foreground at left are two long buildings and a shorter wooden building. The harbor is behind these buildings, and several steam ships are visible on the water. A long jetty juts out into the water at left and stretches almost across the entire image.
