Description
Carmelitos Housing Projects in the only large-scale housing project in the United States in which members of the superintendent's staff use bicycles to save time and shoe leather in making the daily rounds in the low-rent housing project. Photo shows Agnes Cason, staff member (right), delivering a message to Mrs. Henry Yoachum, a resident of the project. Miss Cason pedals from three to seven miles a day through the 50 acres of the project located at 5150 Atlantic Boulevard, in North Long Beach. Photo dated: January 16, 1941.
