The twelve-story building can be seen in the background at center. Six conical spires can be seen on the roof of the structure. In the foreground at right, a row of smaller buildings housing retail stores and restaurants can be seen. The paved intersection of Washington and Main can be seen in the foreground, and many automobiles are visible in the road. Utility wires can be seen overhead at left. Legible signs include, from left: "1901", "Mode O'Day", "Anderson Tire Co. Sells for Less", "Goodyear Goodrich", "Rutland Dry Cleaners", and "Café Eat".
