Description
Pacific Electric streetcar no. 983 at the Ocean Avenue depot in Santa Monica, California. Signs on the front of the streetcar read "Los Angeles vis Beverly Hills" and "West Los Angeles Westwood Beverly Hills Carthay Center." Automobiles and passengers are seen in the street.
This is a copy negative (a photograph of another photograph). "Pacific Electric car at Ocean Ave depot, Santa Monica" is a note from Ernest Marquez written on envelope as it was received. Title based on note from Ernest Marquez; date devised by cataloger based on design of the streetcar and automobiles in the image.
