Ellinor var involveret i forskellige sociale/sundhedsmæssige projekter, bl.a. forebyggelse af HIV/AIDS samt i Butwal området et opsøgende arbejde med henblik på at finde frem til og give optræning til fysisk handicappede børn - som i det lokale samfund traditionelt var blevet overset og forsømt af deres familie. Social Education Worker Ellinor Kirkegaard Pedersen, together with husband Jens Pedersen and the daughter Anna, sent by DSM to UMN, Nepal, 1993-2000. Working areas – according to husband's work: First and at the end in Butwal, and from 1995-98 in Khimti. - Ellinor was involved in various social- and health projects, as HIV/AIDS prevention, and in the Butwal area, an outreach project to identify and give training to physical disabled children – a group traditionally being ignored and neglected by their families.
