Description
Connie and Charles begin the interview discussing the background of the Browns and the American slave trade that involved Rhode Island before moving into the personal meaning of the Brown brothers’ voyage to obtain slaves, which was unsuccessful. They then proceed to discuss the history of slavery and the abolition movement in the United States, specifically as it relates to the Brown brothers’ involvement in abolitionist activities. Connie closes the interview requesting an autograph for her copy of the book.
