Description
Episode 607 of the California Academy of Sciences' television program Science in Action features Leslie A. Irvin, Manager of Engineering at Bay Area Rapid Transit. This episode aired six years before BART was open for mass transit, and presents the system during its development phase. A particularly compelling episode in today's Bay Area political climate, it is a study of one of the largest engineering projects in the world.
