Description
This tape comes from a large collection of 1/4 inch audio tapes collecting the rehearsal and performance recordings of the Mexican Players at the Padua Hills Theatre. Songs performed are typically based on Mexican folk songs and dances or other ancient Native Central American songs and chants. Some tapes also feature field recordings which the performances and songs at the Padua Hills Theatre were based on. Tape 15 features rehearsal or performance recordings of songs and dances based on the Indian Alarippu (flowering bud) dance performed at the Padua Hills Theatre.
