Description
A man and his son wear Parisian fashions in a plate from the Petit Courrier des Dames magazine. The man wears tan trousers, a white shirt and waistcoat, and a blue tailcoat. His white shirt has a pleated front and he wears a high white cravat. His white waistcoat has four buttons and a high standing collar. His blue tailcoat has the collar turned up at the back, M-notched lapels, gold buttons, and is worn open at the front, revealing the waistcoat. The sleeves are full at the shoulder and fitted at the forearm in a moderate leg-of-mutton style. His tan trousers are pleated in front and have some fullness at the hips, and are narrow down the leg, and are strapped under the shoe. He has low black slipper style shoes with small bows. He wears white gloves, a tall black top hat, and he carries a riding crop. His hair is cut short and his sideburns continue into chin whiskers. He points to his son who wears a similar outfit. The boy's shirt has pleats down the front and a double ruff pleated collar. His loose, white trousers are pleated at the waist and are strapped beneath his shoes. His short waist length green jacket is full at the shoulders and has flap pockets. He wears a light gray top hat, flat shoes with spurs, tan gloves, and carries a riding crop. His hair is curled and cut short.
