Description
Reports the first treaty with the Indians is very gratifying. Populations is filling up the Indian country between Los Angeles and the San Joaquin. Estimates that the amount the treaties require may be two to three hundred thousand dollars for the first year. Reports being delayed due to limited number of troops and need to wait for the arrival of another military division from Oregon.
