Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph caption dated December 1, 1962 reads "Broocker." The article partially reads "A police officer and a young man were wounded early today in a roaring North Hollywood gun battle and chase that ended a 2 1/2-hour crime spree. Shot during the battle were police officer R. F. Schneider, 42, and Daniel Medina, 22, one of the suspects. Neither was seriously injured. Officers said the kidnaping (sic) victim, slender, 17-year-old Donald Tingley Jr., Sunland, escaped injury while locked in the trunk of his car in the midst of the gun battle around the vehicle." Broocker, a gas station attendant, was robbed at gunpoint by the suspects.; See images #00121297 through #00121301 for all photos in this series.
