Description
Every Saturday and Sunday afternoon hundreds of people come together to form an informal drum circle, which is said to have originally started in the 1950s at a local beatnik coffeehouse. The circle brings all types of people together. They play everything from expensive bongos, keyboard and drum sets to buckets and car parts. Dancing and drumming become more frenetic as the sun goes down. Photograph dated June 2, 2002.
