Description
Part of set for pocket stereograph: American Views, stereoscopic Nr. 3, Golden Gade [sic] Park, San Francisco. Stereo-3779. Once the portico for Alban Nelson Towne's mansion destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. Portico was donated by his wife in 1909 to the city of San Francisco. Placed in Golden Gate Park, near Lloyd Lake, as memorial of the 1906 earthquake.
