Description
Panoramic view of Eagle Rock, looking north towards the snow-capped San Gabriel Mountains. An "Eagle Rock" sign is visible on the San Rafael hills, the first (dark) mountain range. Colorado Blvd. is the major east-west thoroughfare visible at the bottom of the photo. Angelo Bessolo's mansion can be seen on the lower right. It is the Mediterranean style residence atop the small hill with a very large multi-tiered terrace and numerous lemon trees. Several streets in Eagle Rock are lined with historic and architecturally significant homes done in the Colonial revival, English Tudor, Craftsman, Georgian, Streamline Moderne, Art Deco and Spanish/Mission style.
