In the foreground, numerous small rowboats are floating around the smooth water. Still more boats are beached on the crescent-shaped shoreline at left. The city of Avalon is at left and is composed of several large waterfront buildings, including one with a conical roof in the foreground. There are tall mountains bordering the town in the distance.
