Description
Homeless men Virgo John (left) and Sonny Zero at their Venice beach encampment. Both in their 30s, have been homeless 'for years.' Sonny said "I've been out here so long they call me Sandy and called Ruth Galanter 'a solid lady'." "Somebody has got to do something" he said, "life like this is the pits." About being photographed, "Maybe if people see this it will do some good...we can't find work (looking) like this...somebody's got to do something..." Photo dated: August 13, 1987.
