Description
Mina Naron was Upton Naron's wife. Upton Wade Naron was a veteran of World War II. He was born in San Diego, California in 1917 and passed away in 1999. He enlisted and served in the Army starting in 1947 and in the Air Force starting in 1960. Although he retired in 1967 he completed special projects for the Air Force until the early 1970s. He also served in South America, including training men for the Bay of Pigs Invasion. The locations of his service were many, including special work for the Air Force in Indonesia, work on the Panama Canal and in Chile to study the Ozone Layer. He Sustained Wartime injuries. He was very dedicated to serving his country and was disappointed that he could not fight in conflicts after his retirement. Awards he received include the World War II Victory Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign and American Campaign Medal.
