Description
This photograph from Ralph Rambo's scrapbook includes three departments at Muirson Label Company: engraving (Barnes), make-up (Williams), and art department (Rambo). Rambo notes the working conditions at the bottom of the photograph: "Entire personnel of Engraving, Make-up, and Art Departments; respectively, Barnes, (foreground), Williams and Rambo. First day in our new 1917 quarters. At last -- adequate lighting, (drop cord and bulb or reflection from whitewashed cow barn from Lenzen Avenue; heating from an open foundry door and luxuriant seating! But we three were happy. We knew of nothing better!" From page 4 of a scrapbook by Muirson documenting his work at Muirson Label Company.
