Description
Shown in circa 1982 is a redeveloped section of K Street, near its intersection with Fourth Street. In the foreground is one of several gassed-powered trams that plied the K Street Mall from the 1970s, onward. In the background sits Gerald Walburg's Indo Arch, which was installed in April 1980. Macy's department store, standing to the upper right of the frame, was opened in November 1963.
