Description
A view of one of the tar pits. There is some bubbling in the pond. This is located on Wilshire Blvd. between Ogden Dr. and Curson Ave. Tar taken from these pits was used by early inhabitants for roofing houses. Bones of prehistoric animals were not recognized and preserved until later.
