Description
William H. Hanlon was a former grocer who, in 1902, opened Hanlon's Saloon at 731 K Street. It boasted an electric fountain, bar and grotto. This postcard was produced sometime before his "theatrical headquarters"closed on October 1, 1910. The Sacramento Union's farewell article promised the bar's last night would be "one long to be remembered."
