These books, pamphlets, maps and other records were found in the Japanese consulate suite in the Chamber of Commerce Building when officers mopped up the office on February 27, 1942. An investigator holds a pamphlet which gives descriptions of all oil fields in California. One large map with red markings of the Santa Barbara area recently shelled by an enemy sub was found.
