Description
Several copies of the same photograph, with different notations. On one, note on back reads, "Lee de Forest and Eugene Mohring enroute to Spain & Italy Feb. 1927." A note found with a second copy reads, "Lee and Henry." The man with Lee de Forest in this photograph bears a striking resemblance to de Forest's chauffeur, Henry Hotz, photographed holding de Forest's daughter in the same clothing and setting. It is likely that the first note is incorrect, and that it is Hotz pictured with him. Hotz drove de Forest in New York during the 1920s, and traveled with the family during their last trip to New York from Europe in 1925.
