View of a street with people crossing the street and a car caught in the middle of the street by the photo; coming out of the photo is a street car with its sign on top "S.P.Depot; on right is a large building with entry on corner and above 3 floors with rectangular windows; further down street are more modern, taller structures; on right side, 2nd building down from the front is a building with advertising on its side for "Capital Federal Savings and Loan Association"; at end of street is a taller structure.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
