Description
This is a photograph of Fr. Maurice A. Feeney and the boys studying doctrine. Tey are outside in the yard posing on the swing.
Rev. Feeney was born in Albany, NY. He studied for the priesthood in the Albany Diocese, joining Maryknoll in February of 1930, where he was ordained in June of that year. He was assigned to Kongmoon, China in 1931, returning to the U.S. 1945-46, returning to Kongmoon in 1946. Placed under house arrest in 1950, he was deported to Hong Kong in 1952. In 1953 he was assigned to Taichung, Taiwan. He returned to the U.S. in 1973.
