Photograph of an interior view of the Ramo-Wooldridge Data Reduction Center in Los Angeles, 1950-1960. A line of computers lines the wall of the circular room at left. Four men in suits can be seen looking at displays and printed data. At right, a map of the computer can be seen on a large sign. Small rectangular lights run along the ceiling near the perimeter of the room. The center was operated as a function of Space Technology Laboratories, an autonomous division of the Ramo-Wooldridge Corporation and was used for converting telemtered missile and other performance data into useable form, a highly specialized field of technology.
