Description
Documentary produced by Bay Area video collective Optic Nerve circa 1976 on the San Francisco County jail system. Through candid interviews with inmates and a former jail doctor, the video argues that most of the inmates are there simply for the "crime" of being poor and that the prison system offers no opportunities for rehabilitation and merely serves to keep them down.
