Barker, president; Mrs. R. G. Bowers, president of Antelope Valley College Patrons Association, and Dr. Roy S. Knapp, superintendent of Antelope Valley Joint Union School District. College was founded in September 1929 with 20 students and four teachers. It now has 868 day students, 1,424 evening adult students, and a faculty of 35 full time and 61 part time teachers. Scroll commended college and Dr. Barker for 'enviable record of public service.'"
