Description
Photograph article dated January 7, 1965 reads, "Bruce C. Borrud, 22, of Northridge has left to serve two years in Colombia, South America, with the Peace Corps. Borrud, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Borrud of 17800 Molden St., was graduated last June from UCLA with a B.A. in history. He attended Van Nuys High School and was graduated from Cleveland High in 1960. As a Peace Corps volunteer in Colombia, Borrud will work in the agricultural extension program. He speaks fluent Spanish and, prior to learning, completed a 12-week training program at the University of Nebraska and four weeks at Camp Radley, the Peace Corps training camp in Puerto Rico."
