Designed by Paul V. Tuttle in the Classical Revival style, this building was constructed with a $12,500 grant from Andrew Carnegie and dedicated November 13, 1914. In 1926 an enlargement was constructed that doubled the floor space of the original structure. It served as the public library from 1914 to 1973, when a new facility was built, and was later demolished in 1977. Exterior view of the Glendale Public Library.
