Photograph caption dated November 11, 1961 reads, "Sounds of music ring from the instruments of Grant High School band members. At left, sousaphone player John Honea, 12430 Sylvan St., North Hollywood, and trumpeter Ray Joiner, 5448 Van Noord Ave., Van Nuys, cut a fancy formation caper practicing for Friday night's performance. All members will march with the massed bands Friday at final Grant game, which will start at 8 p.m."
