Description
Workers driving pilings into a lake. Note in the hand of Edwin Powell Hubble: "Driving piles in the shallow lake by a stone raised with a windlass operated by a team of dogs on a raft. Example of improvisation in remote parts before airplane transportation to back country. Dog's Home Lake, Quebec, St Mar's Valley, Time, probably about 1910."
