Photograph caption dated April 25, 1964 reads, "Student photographer Bill Gates, gets helpful hints from Reseda High photography instructor Warren King as he snaps pictures of little Michael, a patient at the Children's Speech and Hearing Clinic, and therapist Darlene Seligman. Albert Porter, art supervisor for the Los Angeles City Schools, watches the session. Reseda High is one of three Valley schools named to participate in the first United Way photography contest. Others are Taft and Monroe High Schools. Students will compete for prizes with pictures of projects which receive funds from the United Way's annual campaigns."
