Elevated landscape view of the Mojave Desert around Cinco, California, in Kern County, with the buildings of the headquarters for the Jawbone Division (No. 7), used during construction on the Los Angeles Aqueduct in the area, visible at center.

"Cinco is the distributing point of the Southern Pacific Railway for all material used by the Los Angeles Aqueduct for construction of the tunnels through the mountains near this point." and "Pub. by the Beham Co., Los Angeles, Cal."--text, printed on verso. Title transcribed from item; date supplied by cataloger based on postcard date stamped 1909. With postcard message addressed to "Misses Grace B. and Edna H. Dewey, 879 Walnut St. Riverside, California," including text in front margin: "This was my daily outlook for little less than one whole year. Envy me? The water is fine at Ocean Park Come down and in. Louis Fontaine."
