Description
Image of a full-length portrait of American actor Rose Eytinge wearing a dress and posed on a pedestal like a stone statue; the poster includes printed date information for performances beginning on December 15, [1884], at the Baldwin Theatre in San Francisco, California, and presumably advertises the drama "Felicia or Woman's Love" adapted by A. R. Cazauran from "Le Fils de Coralie" by Albert Delpit.
Probable date based on month and day in item text and related newspaper article: “Baldwin Theater.—Rose Eytinge and her company arrived on Saturday, ready to commence their week’s engagement tonight. They play Felicia… (“Amusements,” San Francisco Chronicle, 15 December 1884, page 4). "A.S. Seer's Print, Union Sq. N.Y."--text, bottom right. "Baldwin Theatre!"--text, top margin. "One Week Only, Commencing Monday, December 15th"--text, repeated in left and right side margins.
