The close proximity of New York House, which according to an 1891 advertisement in the Los Angeles Herald was located at 114 & 1/2 E. Third St., places Woodbury Business College (the name of which is partially visible in the lower-left corner of the photograph) at one of the Spring Street locations where the institution resided from 1887-1893.
