Description
This recording features President Bill Clinton at the McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, California on October 3, 1993. Rep. Vic Fazio, D-West Sacramento and Rep. Robert Matsui, D-Sacramento also spoke at the event. An all-out community lobbying effort kept the base off the federal base closure list in June 1993.
