Caption reads; "The Pecwan River Bridge at Weitchpec, Humboldt County, was one of six in the nation designated as the most beautiful by the American Institute of Steel Construction of spans opened for traffic in 1961. The bridge is owned and was designed by the State of California. It cost less than $500,000."
