Robert Lee Daily, aka John M. Savage, aka George R. Gibb, was being sought in connection with over 60 burglaries in the Hollywood and Beverly Hills areas. He was shot dead by Investigator James McGrath when Daily tried to flee from McGrath in Encino.
Photograph caption dated August 22, 1959 reads, "Inspects Loot. Det. Sgt. Frank Gravanti of West Valley division looks over inventory list of reported stolen items as he inspects nearly $15,000 worth of merchandise, including cameras and silver, found in home of Robert Lee Daily."; See also photographs 00084159 - 00084162.
