Photograph caption dated March 28, 1941 reads, "The wreckage of the two-story duplex apartment at 10629 Holman Avenue, West Los Angeles, is shown today following the terrific gas explosion that destroyed the structure early this morning. Five occupants of the building were hurled out of their beds an suffered minor injuries. Leaking gas was blamed for the blast."
